SkyServe is looking for Geospatial Software Developer to join their motivated team in Bengaluru.
Position Overview
Develop cutting-edge geospatial analytics engine for maritime vessel tracking and intelligence platform. Build AIS activity analytics, satellite imagery analysis, vessel detection, AIS correlation, and geospatial database solutions using Python, PostGIS, and computer vision libraries.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AIS analytics and vessel detection pipelines using Sentinel-2/PlanetScope imagery with YOLOv8, Detectron2, or custom CNNs.
- Build spatiotemporal database for vessel pattern-of-life analysis using PostGIS TimescaleDB.
- Integrate AIS data with computer vision detections for multi-sensor fusion.
- Create geospatial APIs for React frontend (vessel tracks, heatmaps, anomaly detection).
Requirements
- 4+ years Python development, ideally with geospatial libraries (GDAL/OGR, Rasterio, Fiona, Shapely).
- Expert PostGIS/PostgreSQL spatial queries, indexing, and raster support.
- Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Ultralytics YOLO.
- Satellite imagery processing: Sentinel-2 L2A, PlanetScope, Maxar.
- Experience with S2-SHIPS, xView, or maritime vessel detection datasets.
- REST/GraphQL API development with FastAPI or Flask
Preferred Experience
- Strong geospatial/GIS background (e.g., GDAL/OGR, Rasterio, Fiona, Shapely).
