Position Overview
SkyServe is looking for a proactive Legal Associate to support its growing commercial and regulatory footprint. This role will work closely with leadership and business teams to ensure contracts, compliance, and legal frameworks enable scale, innovation, and global collaboration in the space-tech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements, ensuring
legal robustness, risk balance, and business alignment.
- Support compliance with Indian and international legal and regulatory regimes, including
corporate laws, contract and civil law principles, and space-sector–related frameworks.
- Collaborate with Finance and leadership on transaction-related legal due diligence, risk
assessments, and documentation for investments, fundraising, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with leadership, HR, business, engineering, and operations teams to provide practical
legal inputs that support informed decision-making.
- Build, standardize, and continuously improve contract templates, legal playbooks, SOPs, and
knowledge repositories to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Assist in managing and safeguarding intellectual property assets, including contractual
protections for digital, technical, and physical deliverables.
- Own and manage end-to-end contract lifecycle processes, using legal-tech tools and
automation platforms where applicable.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on evolving international policies, regulations, and
treaties relevant to space, satellite services, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to internal compliance programs, reviews, and awareness initiatives, including
trainings and audits.
- Provide ad-hoc legal support on strategic, operational, and governance matters as the
organization scales.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (3-year LLB or 5-year integrated program) from a recognized
university.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, either in a law firm or as part of an in-house legal
team; experience in technology, aerospace, or space-adjacent sectors is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated strength in contract drafting, negotiations, and compliance advisory.
- Working knowledge or exposure to Space Law, International Law, and UN or multilateral
frameworks is advantageous.
